John M. Chapman
Chief Strategy/Marketing Consultant
John Chapman has over 40 years of leadership experience in marketing (all facets), sales, operations, and M&A in both small private (including start-ups) and public companies in the telecommunication, software and technology sectors on a global scale. In his past role as CMO of a $2B organization, he led both strategic and tactical initiatives and teams to execute an array of marketing programs (marketing communications, branding, PR, GTM, product management/development, social/digital media, website design and graphics, voice of the customer, etc.) to enhance the customer experience.
John has also been active in the Rochester community, serving in board leadership roles for nonprofits focused on mental health, food security, literacy and the arts for over 35 years. He is passionate about volunteering his time, energy, and expertise to support local charities.
John is a graduate of Onondaga Community College with an Associate Degree in Business, C.W. Post, Long Island University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Fine Arts Management, and Chapman College with a Master of Science Degree in Business and Organization Development. He also earned a Paralegal Certificate from Syracuse University. John has called Rochester home for the last 38 years.
