Lauren has spent most of her career working for nonprofits in various capacities. After getting her start at a local healthcare foundation she quickly discovered a passion for helping others in her community. For the last decade, Lauren has developed a comprehensive portfolio of experience in development which includes major gift fundraising, event planning, annual appeal, stewardship, moves management, and database operations. Lauren specializes in analyzing and streamlining foundation operations, implementing best practices, strategizing database use, providing database management and training, and facilitating prospect management and research.
Prior to consulting, Lauren has extensive experience working in advancement operations. Her work includes developing and running a prospect management and research division, creating and managing extensive reporting encompassing all manner of programs and fundraising operations, and implementing and integrating a variety of supporting databases and software including Raiser’s Edge, NXT, ResearchPoint, Luminate Online, Wealth Engine, Qlik, and more. She has supported Foundations teams with on-site training and custom-built tools made to accomplish various needs. Most recently, Lauren maintained best practices and data hygiene for a large multi-hospital healthcare system donor database and led the data management team to streamline operations processes. During her time in health care nonprofit, she has been through two capital campaigns, has overseen a database conversion, helped to develop and run moves management and grateful patient programs, and has developed coding to manage a variety of programs and needs.
Lauren was born and raised in the Rochester area and now lives downtown with her dog where they enjoy walks on the river every day. She is a runner and loves to have as much art, music, books, and travel in her life as she possibly can. Lauren received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and English Literature from Nazareth College and continued to earn her MBA from RIT.
