Annie Murphy

Annie Murphy joined the Empreinte team after serving as the Director of Development for The Pluta Cancer Center Foundation. During her time at Pluta, Annie oversaw a $1 million dollar budget with a focus on grant writing, donor cultivation, special events, database management, annual appeals, board development, and community engagement. Annie successfully led a capital campaign to fund the revitalization of the waiting area at Pluta Cancer Center, through both grant writing and strategic stewardship of high-level donors. Her variety of skills and interests allow her to work with non-profits in a multitude of ways.

As a breast cancer survivor, who was treated at Pluta, Annie served as a natural ambassador for the impactful services and programs that Pluta provides to those affected by a cancer diagnosis. Annie spoke at many community events and fundraisers to better connect Pluta’s mission with the Greater Rochester Region.

Annie is an active volunteer with The Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester, where she proudly mentors newly diagnosed women as a PALS Mentor. Annie is also a member of 100 Women Who Care Rochester, where she serves on their all-volunteer administrative team. Annie is continually energized and inspired by the many transformative non-profits in the Rochester community.

Annie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati, where she studied musical theater performance. A native of Erie, PA, Annie has lived in Rochester for over 15 years. She enjoys traveling, dining out, hiking, baking, and live theater. Annie is happiest at home with her husband (Mike), daughter (Frances) and pup (Princess).
