Robert Stamp holds 28 years of philanthropy experience and brings a unique expertise to his work in consulting. His abilities cover a wide array of disciplines including comprehensive capital campaigns, board development, principal, leadership and major gift fundraising, strategic business and campaign planning with integrated marketing, organizational fundraising, stewardship, donor relations, and alumni. Robert has built successful advancement programs throughout his career by first understanding the unique challenges, history, and people of each institution. Then progressing through strategic and business planning to help establish authentic, inspirational, and resonant vision, guiding values and standards, financial metrics, clear objectives, and accountable goals. His track record demonstrates significant success in building innovative, enduring, and successful programs.
Most recently, Robert served as the Executive Director of the Optima Foundation. Prior to that he served as Associate Vice President of University Advancement and Campaign Director for the University of La Verne. Before joining La Verne, Robert was Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director, Foundation of Southern Connecticut State University and Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director, Foundation at Florida State College Jacksonville.
Robert’s portfolio also includes having served at two additional public university systems, Virginia Tech Virginia, (SUNY) New York and one private, the University of Rochester. Vision, entrepreneurial passion, creativity, and strategic problem-solving have been evident throughout his career. Robert understands the power of philanthropy and the long- lasting impact philanthropy can have on organizations and more importantly communities.
Robert is a graduate of the University at Buffalo. He has been a conference speaker for CASE, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and has served as an officer with local AFP Chapters in California, Virginia, and New York. Robert’s commitment to community is strong and he has memberships with Inland Empire Economic Partnership, San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership, Naples Chamber of Commerce, New Haven Chamber of Commerce, LaVerne Chamber of Commerce, Yale Business School Endowment Program, CASE, multiple community leadership programs, and Rotary.
