With 20 years of fundraising experience, Domenic has the keen ability to articulate mission-centered strategy; mentor high-performing teams; promote institutional buy-in; and maximize philanthropic revenue. With separate and substantial leadership roles fundraising for healthcare, higher education and the arts, Domenic brings a breadth of expertise and innovation to the firm to the benefit of our varied clientele.
With years of experience distilling donor data, Domenic advises clients to accurately forecast contributed revenue for annual campaigns, corporate giving programs, specialized projects, and capital campaigns.
Most recently, Domenic led all fundraising efforts for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, serving as Vice President of Development. Under his leadership, the orchestra more than doubled their annual campaign revenue from $3M to $6.5M in just five years. Domenic led the orchestra’s $50M capital campaign, its largest to date, along with securing the 100-year-old institution’s largest gift to date: $3M for endowment.
Prior to the RPO, Domenic served as consultant and Principal Gifts Officer for Peconic Bay Medical Center, located on the east end of Long Island. During his year-long assignment, Domenic led the hospital’s $25M capital campaign to build a cardiac care tower. While working as a Principal Gifts Officer, Domenic secured a $5M gift for cardiology, and a $2M gift for palliative care.
As a Major Gifts Officer for the University of Rochester Medical Center, Domenic is proud of securing a $2M professorship for neurology in addition to numerous six-figure commitments for medical research.
Domenic has a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges to fundraising for nonprofits and an expert’s awareness of today’s philanthropic landscape from both the public and private sector. He provides tools to strengthen comprehensive strategy, compel case statements, design cultivation plans and solicitation proposals for top donors and prospects. Domenic earned a B.A. from Alfred University, and lives in Irondequoit with his family, enjoying time with his wife Hilary and their two daughters, Ruby and Lola.
